MOJ Fees & Charges

If the final bid price is for your item is Yen 2999 or less, then the base commission is $6.

If the bid final bid price is Yen 3,000 to Yen 10,000, then the base service fee is $10. For each additional Yen 1,000, there is a fee of $1.

Please look at the examples below carefully so that you know dont miss anything regarding the fees and charges.

$1.50 and up for domestic shipping to our storage depending on the method of shipping and weight/size/origin of your item. Some items will cost more and some will cost less. You pay the actual shipping cost, whatever it is. We do not charge a single yen extra for local shipping. Due to our location in the center of Tokyo, you get an extra benefit of low shipping cost since most of the business activity and sellers are in this Tokyo region.

International shipping cost depends on the weight/size/destination and method of shipment. Some items will cost more and some will cost less. Please check Shipping for details.

$2 Banks fee/money transfer fee. Unfortunately, bank checks are not used in Japan. So, there is a minimum of $2 money transfer fee. We have got to pay this, no matter what we do.

If you are our regular customer and if you bid on multiple items at the same time, we will combine your items and ship them to you in a single box/shipment to save you on the shipping cost. However, if you have many items that cannot be shipped in a single box, then we will have to make two boxes.

Also, if you win multiple items from the same seller, we will request the seller to combine the items to save you on shipping. We try to save you as much as we can.

There is no handling fee for smaller items like single CDs, video games, anime cels, single dolls, or trading cards and all other items that are small.  So, if you are bidding on single items or small items, then feel confident that you wouldn’t pay any handling fees.

However, there is a handling fee for larger items or for those customers who buy in bulk. Combining bulk items with other bulk items require labor, packing material and boxes. They may also require larger boxes. So, there will be a handling fee for those items that will cover the box fee and our hard work. The charges may range from $1 to $5 per item.

This specially apply to car parts and other larger boxes and bulk video game buyers. For certain car parts, there may be even a larger fee than the basic $5 mentioned above. Item Price + MOJ Commission Fee + Bank Transfer Fee + Local Shipping + Handling Fee For Large Items Only + Actual International Shipping Charges + 5% Money Transfer Charges

Other Fees

There are no additional or hidden fees from us. However, if there are any other fees from the sellers of your items, you will be informed about them and those fees will be transfered to you for your items. Occasionally, some sellers charge Yahoo Japan Auctions fee of 3%, extra handling fees or the Japanese 5% sales tax if you bid on items from from a company. We cannot do anything about these fees.

The only fee or penalty we apply is late fee. If you leave your items for more than 5 weeks and without any kind of contact, there will be 15% late charge fee. You must keep in touch with us and make prior arrangements with us to keep things straight.

Finally, if you do not contact us for your items for a maximum of 2 months, your items will be resold on Yahoo Japan Auctions to recover our expenses. If you have any plans like this, please let us know well in advance to make different arrangements. We hope that this never happens.
